When testcenters are closed during the coronavirus pandemic, some online alternatives have been developed. IELTS has launched the IELTS Indicator, which is an alternative to the TOEFL home test or the Duolingo Test of English.

As I had always been fond of the British examinations in English, I registered for the IELTS exam. I should admit it was a remarkable experience; despite the fact that the examinations were demanding and in consecutive order without any break in between, I do remember this examination for its impressive results, as I got a 7.5/9.

I did the IELTS test and I suppose it is easy to get a good score if you try really hard.

The universities I applied for had all language requirements, so I took IELTS. Considering the fact that I prepared for it at home and I started with a very basic level of writing I eventually passed the test.

I have chosen IELTS, because it is cheaper and reflects more what you can deal with than how you can circle the grammar closed questions. I liked that test, because you can handle the topics of the two essays there as you wish.

I chose The Hague University because it has the program I like and accepts my IELTS score.
