Poznan University of Technology
The Master of Science in Product Design at Poznan University of Technology teaches students to follow products from design to disposal, while considering all the possible implications, like the environmental, economic and social impact. The Master’s offers courses on analytical mechanics, strength of mechanical constructions, modelling of mechanical engineering, life cycle management, and more.
A Master’s degree in the field of Wood Science at the Poznan University of Life Sciences provides graduates with in-depth and cross-disciplinary knowledge in wood engineering, furniture design and wood protection.
Our BA Design alumni are prepared to take on general design professions at design studios, R&D
centers, cultural centers, consulting businesses and manufacturing companies. Upon graduation,

Our studies consist of 4 specializations: communication design, domestic design, fashion design, industrial design. The full-time studies last 4 years and the graduates receive a bachelor’s degree in design, awarded by the Warsaw School of Social Studies and Humanities. Each year consists of 30 weeks, divided into 2 semesters – winter and summer. Most of the classes are conducted in a form of thematic modules, which can last a day, a week or even up to 2 months.
Our BA Furniture Design graduates are prepared to collaborate with small and large businesses in the
design industry. They may also join a project team, working not only with design studios but also production

Our Design alumni are prepared to pursue careers within the scope of design profession either
independently or as part of project teams. They are equipped with knowledge and skills to set up
their own design consultancies or collaborate with manufacturing industries. Upon graduation,
students may go on to do PhD studies (research degree) and/or enter an independent research path
within the field of Art and Design.
Our MA Furniture Design graduates are prepared to pursue careers as designers, technologists and
production managers. They leave the program equipped with a range of organizational and creative
skills needed to launch their own studio practice (freelance profession) or collaborate with
manufacturing industries and production companies. Upon graduation, students may go on to do
PhD studies and pursue careers as academic teachers or researchers within the field of Art and
Design.
You will learn to design spaces ranging from household to public spaces, i.e. everything that happens inside and outside of architecture. This means not only the ability to lay spaces out, but also to create an environment corresponding with its function and the expectations of its users.
