The motto of the Doctoral School of History from Pázmány Péter Catholic University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is “he, who knows not his past, has no future.” The school covers a wide range of topics and methodological approaches that enable students to become thoroughly immersed in economic, social, cultural, intellectual or religious history.
The Assyriology programme from the Eötvös Lorand University is a two-year, full-time course, including four semesters. The student who is to take up this course must have a basic knowledge of the Akkadian and Sumerian language, and the cuneiform writing.
