Cultural Diplomacy in Europe: A Forum for Young Leaders (CDE) is a network of individuals, who have an interest in exploring and strengthening relations between European States. The program is based on the recognition that the increasing economic and political integration of the European Union must be accompanied by sustained activity to ensure that public opinion and relations between individual member states, and between member-states, remain positive and constructive at the grass roots level.
The European Union between Supranational Integration and National Sovereignty (Winter)

The course will reflect upon the history and the current challenges of the European Union as the most ambitious project of supranational integration. While the project of integration was based on the quest for peace in its beginnings, it became clear over the years, that the economic benefits for members were beginning to be the main incentive for further integration. The course aims to give a better understanding of how the European Union works and why it is so difficult to take decisions within this body.
This course will deal with the quest for a common asylum policy within the European Union by
simulating European decision-making. Asylum policy is one of the most important topics of European policy. After an introduction into how European policy is made and how the European institutions interact, the course will examine the topic of asylum and migration policy in detail. Participants will take up the roles of European policy-makers in a simulation.
To apply at one of these universities, you may need a proof of English proficiency. There are several standardised English tests that you can take to proof your English level, such as the PTE (Pearson Test of English), TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), CAE (Cambridge Advanced English) and IELTS (International English Language Testing System), offered by British Council and IDP. European Law degrees teach legislative aspects related to the European Union, such as Constitutional Law and the EU Competition Law.
