The goal of the PhD work will be to investigate kinetics of elementary steps in selected palladium acetate and copper acetate catalyzed reactions, to characterize the intermediates in the selected reactions by infrared ion spectroscopy, to search for a spectroscopic evidence of the possible C-H activation by carboxylates and to evaluate the effect of carboxylate shift in the reactions.
