English and Creative Writing (Hons) from De Montfort University explores the history, structures, uses and contexts of English as a world language and the history of English Literature, while Creative Writing modules provide students with a firm technical foundation in writing craft.
The MA focuses on the study of adaptations and the nature of the exchange between fictional texts and their film versions; it also looks at cases where the exchange is reversed, such as novelisations, or where the original text is so freely adapted as to be ‘lost’ in further adaptations.
