The European Law programme at The University of Edinburgh provides an in-depth knowledge and understanding of EU law is now more essential than ever for anyone considering a career in law, business, politics or policy within the UK, EU or beyond.
This degree is designed to equip students with an advanced knowledge of the legal, political and policy processes of the European Union, including constitutional issues, foreign and security policy, regulation, multi-level governance, and the relation of citizens to the EU.
Edinburgh Law School is offering two scholarship opportunities to support students taking the PhD degree on a full-time basis and commencing their studies in September 2010.
The aim of this degree is essentially twofold: to provide core European law subjects at an advanced level and to apply and deepen this knowledge through more specialised courses. The programme reflects the rapid evolution of European law and governance and, against the backdrop of international law more generally, its unique impact on domestic legal orders.
These studentships are much sought after as they provide funding for the one year MSc degree and for a further three years on the Law School’s PhD programme.
This International Economic Law programme from The University of Edinburgh seeks to provide you with in-depth knowledge and critical understanding of the institutions, rules and principles of the international economic system, as well as of key legal and policy issues arising from the globalisation of the world economy.
The Global Environment and Climate Change Law programme offered by The University of Edinburgh is designed to equip you with an advanced, multidisciplinary knowledge of the legal issues and techniques related to environmental protection and the management of natural resources, with special emphasis on climate change.
