The Bachelor of Divinity degree (BD) is a specialist course in Divinity which equips students for handling all of the main theological disciplines with particular emphasis on Biblical Studies and Biblical Languages. An integrated curriculum ensures a solid basis for postgraduate theological study or vocational ministry of various sorts.
The overall aim of the MRes in Theology is to offer students the opportunity to work closely with a supervisor or supervisory team to produce a substantial piece of independent research in Theology, and to develop wide-ranging research skills within disciplinary and interdisciplinary frameworks.
The BA in Theology at Queen’s gives students the opportunity to explore theological thinking from a variety of perspectives within the discipline of Theology and Religious Studies. It also offers an important context for understanding how religion affects and shapes society, and how it informs and draws upon insights from other disciplines.
The research strategy of the Institute of Theology aims to offer Doctoral supervision across a wide range of theological disciplines. In addition to the historical and textual bases upon which successful PhD theses are focused, the Institute has expanded its research activities in the field of missiological and pastoral theology.
