Foundation purpose of Pharmaceutical Technology Master of Science Programme is, to educate pharmacists who are experts on medicines, primarily on lectures of pharmaceutical technology and other disciplines in master of science degree, therefore the graduates would serve in industry, public associations and universities
The programme consists of obligatory and elective courses delivered within the graduate programme of the department and in related fields, one seminar course, and thesis, with a minimum of 24 local credits. According to European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) at least 60 ECTS credit must be acquired in obligatory and elective courses and 60 ECTS credit must be acquired in thesis. The total ECTS credits of the programme is 120 ECTS and 1 ECTS is equal to 30 hours workload.

Department of Pharmaceutical Toxicology was founded at 25.02.1972 with the name of “Analytical Toxicology”, the name later was changed to “Analytical Toxicology and Bromatology” and “Pharmaceutical Toxicology”, respectively. Since 1972, it offers master's and doctoral education. The lectures are given in Turkish.
