The Master of Transnational Law from Catholic University of Portugal aims at rethinking law in a non-statist context and at a deeper understanding of the legal dimensions of the current globalization processes. In fact, for the past two hundred years, legal thought has been built on the association between law and State.
The only TOTAL LAW™ LL.M. in the world. LL.M. Law in a European and Global Context is the first LL.M. entirely designed under the TOTAL LAW approach: contextual, demanding, interactive, innovative, and global. It is a one year full-time programme running from September to July directed to recent graduates. Courses are specifically tailored to meet the challenges of a pluralism of legal sources and jurisdictions. The language of instruction is English.
This Law in a European and Global Context at Catholic University of Portugal is a programme like no other offered in Europe. It is not simply one more programme focusing on European and International Law, our aim is to teach Law in a European and Global Context and to do so with a top international faculty and employing new methodologies and pedagogical techniques.
The Master’s in International and European Law at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa offers students the opportunity to expand on their legal knowledge in an area that is becoming increasingly essential considering the world’s globalization, in which national boundaries are losing importance.
The Law in a European and Global Context degree programme offered by Catholic University of Portugal is is a one year full-time programme, running from September to July. The academic calendar is structured into three terms. Students must complete a total of 60 ECTS to meet the LL.M. degree requirements. This will include at least five core seminars.
