Renewable energy course at Kaunas University of Technology is a relatively new and still the only program of university studies of this type in Lithuania.
Aim of the course:
To get to know environmental pollution by energy production problems and methods of it's lowering in thermal, nuclear, power technologies. Understand principles and methods of pollution prevention in energy production.
The only joint doctoral studies in the scientific field of Energetics and Power Engineering in Lithuania, provided by Kaunas University of Technology and Lithuanian Energy Institute, prepare highly qualified energy scientists for industry and education institutions.
Why Renewable Energy Resources Engineering?
Traditional natural resources are declining in the world. Therefore, there is a need for alternative
renewable energy resources - biomass.
Aim of the course is to understand energy
processes occurring in the buildings, to learn the design of the energy
efficiency of buildings, to analyse and optimize the combinations of building
insulation and energy systems, to get acquainted with principles of renewable
energy usage in buildings.
