The TOChina Summer School, a partnership of the Department of Culture Politics and Society (University of Torino) and the Torino World Affairs Institute has been running with the support of Fondazione CRT since 2007 to help outstanding students young scholars and engaged professionals reflect on the complexity of China’s development and return to global prominence from a plurality of perspectives.
Based at the “Luigi Einaudi” campus of the University of Torino, the Summer School welcomes participants to a vibrant international environment where an informal work style allows for free in-depth discussion on critical issues that lie at the intersection between China’s long-term structural transformations and global current affairs.
The course begins with the identification of sources and the fundamental principles of international public law, economics and the history of international relations and then uses lectures, seminars and the moot court methodology to go more deeply into the subjects of international law, development economics, the history of different geographical areas, problems concerning the interdependence of States and the trend towards globalization.
