The field on global governance and regional integration addresses the relationships between political, social, legal, historical, and economic developments in the “post-national constellation”, that is, after the demise of the nation state as container.
The main focus of Political Science is, on the one hand, on political institutions such as the government, parliament, the judicial system, political parties, international organisations, and the administration; on the other hand it is concerned with conflicts of interest and the power mechanisms which determine political processes, and finally with the political contents and programmes in individual fields of politics.
