Production Technology Meets Industry 4.0 - Summer School

The program provides students with an introduction to Industry 4.0. Industry 4.0 is an initiative by the German government which promotes the integration of industrial production with information and communication technologies. Students will explore fundamental areas of Industry 4.0 and acquire a better understanding of current and future requirements in production technology.
The Summer School covers the fundamentals used in automation and simulation. In hands-on exercises and computer lab lectures, students solve real world problems using industry standard and open source software. As a result, methods used in mechanical engineering are tried, tested and acquired. In addition, students learn about German language and culture in the language classes.
