The Department of Architecture at KU Leuven is responsible for research in the broad field of architecture, ie. the built environment created by people. Design plays a vital role in this. From theory and history to structural engineering and construction; from heritage preservation to urban planning, regional planning and landscaping we have only one goal in mind: excellence.
The design process – and particularly its social and cultural role – is the core of the Faculty of Architecture’s education. The Master of Architecture combines a designerly with an academic approach. It is characterized by a fully integrated design methodology, providing students with solid skills in the contemporary discipline of architectural design and research.
The Faculty of Architecture offers a two-year programme leading to the academic degree of Master of Science in Architecture. This international-oriented master program comprises 120 credits, spread over (minimum) four semesters and is fully taught in English.
