As I had always been fond of the British examinations in English, I registered for the IELTS exam. I should admit it was a remarkable experience; despite the fact that the examinations were demanding and in consecutive order without any break in between, I do remember this examination for its impressive results, as I got a 7.5/9.

I knew from one of my friends that IELTS is one of the best tests. I made a little research online upon the language tests and I decided to take IELTS.

I have chosen IELTS, because it is cheaper and reflects more what you can deal with than how you can circle the grammar closed questions. I liked that test, because you can handle the topics of the two essays there as you wish.

I took the IELTS test, because I found that it is the only one that is being asked in every country. I had planned to send more applications to other universities in different countries in case I wasn’t accepted.

The universities I applied for had all language requirements, so I took IELTS. Considering the fact that I prepared for it at home and I started with a very basic level of writing I eventually passed the test.

Elac Study Vacations

Elac began life as “Eastbourne Language and Activity Centre” in mid 1990s. It was set up by John and Sarah Dunster when John left Meads School of English where he was Principal. Eastbourne Language and Activity Centre was initially a family stay course based at Park College in Eastbourne. Andrew McPhee joined in 2000 when Elac began to branch out into residential centres.
